Artist Statement

My work begins with places that hold emotional meaning for me. I’m drawn to roads, buildings, and quiet corners that often go unnoticed, and I try to capture the feeling of being there rather than just the way it looks.
As a relatively new painter, I approach each piece with a sense of discovery. I’m less interested in perfection and more interested in presence—light hitting a surface, color, the mood of a moment, and the emotional pull of a scene that asks to be painted.
